A whopping 76 percent of Americans believe we’re at an economic precipice that requires difficult decisions to avoid a crisis, while only 18 percent say we’re on the right path, according to a new poll.

The survey was conducted by McLaughlin & Associates for YG Network, an advocacy group connected to House Majority Leader Eric Cantor.

A total of 90 percent of respondents say an economic issue will have the biggest impact on their future. In terms of specific economic issues, 38 percent listed the economy and jobs, 20 percent listed the deficit and debt, while 16 percent pointed to healthcare.

Asked which issues facing the country concern them, 85 percent cited energy prices, 83 percent cited government spending, and 82 percent cited taxes.
