Thirteen Chrysler workers who were videotaped allegedly smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol during their lunch breaks are back on the job this week.
Two years ago, Detroit’s Fox 2 News' investigative reporter Rob Wolchek got a tip about the lunchtime activities of some of the workers of the firm’s Jefferson North Assembly plant.
“For several days our TV crews followed some of these workers,” Fox 2 stated.

Executives were described as “embarrassed” over video coverage, which appeared to show some individuals smoking marijuana and drinking beer before returning back to work.
Chrysler suspended two workers and fired 13 others. But with an arbitration decision going their way, the dismissed workers have now been reinstated to their union jobs.
“An arbitrator decided in the workers' favor citing insufficient conclusive evidence to uphold the dismissals,” Scott Garberding, senior vice president of manufacturing/world class manufacturing, said in a statement. “This was a decision that Chrysler Group does not agree with.”
When the story broke, taxpayers had just bailed out the ailing automaker. In fact, President Barack Obama stood on the floor of the same plant months earlier saying he believed in the workers and he believed in the company, according to Fox 2.
Garberding said that the company hasn't forgotten that it only stayed in business because of the federal bailout and noted that having to reinstate the workers is an “unfortunate aberration.”
