Marc Faber, publisher of the Gloom, Boom & Doom report, said the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index may see another rally, though it won’t surpass the 2011 high of about 1,370 by year-end.

The S&P may reach about 1,250, Faber said Tuesday in an interview with Bloomberg TV. The index closed at 1162.35.

Both the market “bears” and the “bulls” are set to be disappointed, he said.
