While almost all the stocks held by Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway have risen this year, Goldman Sachs and General Motors represent two notable exceptions.

As of March 31, Berkshire held 12.6 million shares of Goldman Sachs. The stock has slid 9 percent this year. So assuming Berkshire still has the same amount of shares, it has lost $206 million on the position in 2014.

As for GM, Berkshire owned 30 million shares as of March 31. The stock has fallen 15 percent this year. So assuming Berkshire hasn't bought or sold any shares, it has lost $172 million in 2014.

Berkshire also has suffered setbacks this year on Coca Cola, Wal-Mart and online security company Verisign, USA Today reports.

Berkshire has lost $110 million on Verisign in 2014, $106 million on Wal-Mart and $120 million on Coke.

To be sure, Berkshire has gained $2.64 billion on its Wells Fargo holding alone, enough to more than compensate for its losses.

Meanwhile, bidding is underway for the annual lunch with Buffett that raises money for charity. The auction is taking place on eBay, and the lead bid currently stands at $370,100.

The winning bid topped $1 million in 2013, and the record was $3.5 million in 2012, CNNMoney reports. Bidding ends Friday. The lunch is held at Smith & Wollensky, a New York City steakhouse, and the winner gets to invite seven friends.
