On Friday, we got another pleasant "moment" with better U.S. employment numbers for April, although this certainly doesn't mean we are now headed for a sustained period of strong employment news.

Last week, the spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank and the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors were held in Washington, D.C. As usual, at those kinds of gatherings, you don’t learn a lot besides what you already knew before.

I see no reason whatsoever for looking beyond the United States and its currency for investing, even though I still expect a correction. Yes, that will change one day, but we aren’t there yet.

In case you have the intention to buy or invest in the markets these days, maybe it would not be such a bad idea of questioning yourself on what you could win or what you could lose by taking that action one of these days.

In my opinion, it’s still too early to consider investing in the eurozone. Please don’t worry. That time will come, but we aren’t there yet. Long-term investors would do well by keeping it simple and keeping the United States as the main home for their investments in the foreseeable future.
