Billionaire activist investor Carl Icahn reported a 9.08 percent stake in Clorox Co, sending its shares up almost 8 percent.
Icahn may seek to have conversations with the company's management to discuss its business, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Friday.
Clorox shares were up $5.20 at $71.45 Friday afternoon on the New York Stock Exchange.
Clorox could not be reached for comment.
